Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan : Jharkhand Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan will now become the Governor of Maharashtra. President Draupadi Murmu has announced this. Radhakrishnan will now replace Ramesh Bais. Bais was appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra on 18 February 2023. Now C. P. Radhakrishnan has been appointed to this post. Meanwhile, former Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker and senior BJP leader Haribhau Bagde has been appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, C. P. Senior BJP leader Santosh Kumar Gangwar has been appointed as Governor in place of Radhakrishnan. Rashtrapati Bhavan announced the appointment of governors in several states on Saturday night.

Assembly elections of Maharashtra will be held in a few months. Earlier, the President has given a new governor to the state. Radhakrishnan has been an active member of BJP for many years. He has been a Member of Parliament for the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency of Tamil Nadu for two terms. Also, he has worked as the State President of Tamil Nadu BJP for some years. In the 2014 and 2019 elections, BJP had given him Lok Sabha ticket. However, he was defeated despite the wave of Modi in the country. He was appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand by the President on 18 February 2023. After one and a half years, he has been entrusted with the responsibility of a mighty state like Maharashtra.
Many states got new governors
Sikkim Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya has been appointed as the Governor of Assam and Manipur. Jishnu Dev Verma will be the Governor of Telangana. Prakash Mathur has been entrusted with the responsibility of Sikkim. Gulab Chand Kataria has been appointed as the Governor of Punjab. While Ramen Deka has been given the responsibility of Chhattisgarh state. C. H. Vijayashankar will be the Governor of Meghalaya, while K. Kailashnath will be the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
