State Bureau, Ranchi. Jharkhand Maiya Samman Yojana: The launch of the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana will take place on August 18. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate this scheme by transferring a respect amount of one thousand rupees through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) into the accounts of beneficiary women in Pakur district, a day before Raksha Bandhan.
Regarding this scheme, the Chief Minister held a video conference meeting from his residential office on Thursday with the Deputy Commissioners of various districts. He reviewed in detail the applications received and approved so far in the special camps set up for this scheme.
Who Attended the Meeting?
In this meeting, the Chief Minister gave several important instructions to the officials. Chief Secretary L. Khiyangte, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Secretary of Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department Manoj Kumar, and IT Secretary Vipra Bhal were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed that the women applying for the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana should be informed via SMS about the receipt and approval of their application and the transfer of the respect amount into their bank accounts. This will let them know that the respect amount under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana has been credited to their bank accounts by the state government.
SMS to Be Sent for Protection Against Cybercrime
The Chief Minister asked the Deputy Commissioners to also send awareness messages via SMS to protect against cybercrime.
A Specific Date for Issuing the Respect Amount Should Be Fixed
The Chief Minister directed the officials of the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department to ensure that the respect amount under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana is transferred into the accounts of beneficiaries by a fixed date every month. There should be no delay in transferring the respect amount.
More than 55 Percent of Applications Have Been Approved
Officials informed the Chief Minister that as of August 14, 36,69,378 women had applied through the special camps for the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana. Of these, 20,37,754 applications have been approved.
The Chief Minister stated that any errors in the application process should be rectified immediately so that no eligible woman is deprived of the benefits of this scheme.
Special Camps Will Be Organized Until August 18
The Chief Minister instructed officials to continue the special camps for receiving applications from women for this scheme until August 18. He also mentioned that this is a continuously running scheme.
Under this scheme, any eligible beneficiary can apply online through Pragya Kendras at any time. The process of submitting applications will continue.
