State Bureau, Ranchi: Following the government’s decision to grant daily duty allowances to home guards equivalent to those of police personnel, hundreds of home guards across the state celebrated at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. MLA Kalpana Soren was also present at the event.
The home guards expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister. During the celebration, Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that home guards are an integral part of the government and it is the government’s duty to take care of them. He urged the home guards to also take care of the state. The Chief Minister emphasized that in the past four and a half years, the state government has made several decisive decisions in favor of various categories and classes of employees. The government is committed to ensuring that everyone receives their rights and entitlements. The priority of the government is to ensure that all have participation in the government with full respect and dignity.
Home Guards to Receive ₹1,000
On August 10th, on the occasion of his 49th birthday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren approved a proposal to grant home guards daily duty allowances on par with police personnel. Under this decision, home guards will now receive ₹1,088 per day as their daily duty allowance. Excited by this decision, home guards arrived at the Chief Minister’s residence with celebrations, including music and drums. They expressed their joy by applying gulal (colored powder) on each other.
The home guards met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to express their gratitude for this decision and mentioned that the new allowance has brought happiness to their families across the state.
Right to Dignity and Respect
The Chief Minister stated that everyone has the right to live with full dignity and respect. His government is committed to ensuring that both the public and any category of government employees receive their due rights and entitlements.
In this context, the government has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the home guards by providing them with a significant benefit. The Chief Minister assured that his government is always with the home guards and aims to ensure their participation in the government with full respect.
Decisive Decisions in Four and a Half Years
The Chief Minister noted that his government has completed four and a half years in office. During this period, the state government has taken several decisive decisions for various categories and classes of employees. This includes the implementation of the old pension scheme.
Whether it concerns Anganwadi workers, contractual workers, or employees in any category, their honorarium has been significantly increased, and service conditions have been improved. Additionally, many other decisions have been made to provide government employees with a better working environment.
