Interview Discussion
Tanushree Dutta has been away from Bollywood for several years and has not acted in films recently. However, she gained attention again after accusing Nana Patekar of misbehavior on a film set, which Patekar denied. Tanushree, known for her roles in films like “Dhol,” “Aashiq Banaya Aapne,” and “Chocolate,” has now made serious allegations against director Vivek Agnihotri, who directed her in the 2005 film “Chocolate,” which also starred Emraan Hashmi, Irrfan Khan, and Anil Kapoor. The recent allegations have brought Vivek Agnihotri into the news.
Allegations by Tanushree Dutta
In an interview with Faridun Shahryar, Tanushree Dutta described an incident during the filming of “Chocolate.” She said, “I was five to ten minutes late to the set one day, and Vivek Agnihotri called me unprofessional and humiliated me in front of everyone. He also told me that I was crazy and would say whatever came to his mind.” Tanushree added that actresses who complain in the film industry often face defamation. She described her experiences, saying, “When a girl complains in our film industry, her character is often tarnished. I experienced this 10-15 years ago, and it’s still the same today. I am being defamed to cover up mistakes. Despite always being punctual, I was yelled at for being late once, and I wasn’t allowed to relax in my vanity van.”
Incident Observed by Tanushree Dutta
Tanushree also recounted an incident where she saw a girl sitting on Vivek Agnihotri’s lap while passing by. She suspected that Agnihotri did not want her in the film and felt that he viewed her inappropriately. She also mentioned that Agnihotri commented on her appearance in a short skirt and described him as having a “dirty and disgusting” demeanor. Tanushree claimed that Agnihotri was often busy with his assistants and that Pallavi Joshi was not always present on set.
