State Bureau, Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with four MLAs from the Kolhan region on Tuesday. He discussed the latest political developments with them. These MLAs had already made it clear that they had no intention of aligning with Champai Soren.
The MLAs who met Hemant Soren included Sanjeev Sardar, the JMM MLA from Potka, Ramdas Soren from Ghatshila, Samir Mohanty from Baharagora, and Mangal Kalindi from Jugsalai. All the MLAs expressed their unanimous support for JMM and Hemant Soren. Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato also met during this time. However, her name was not among the MLAs rumored to be going with Champai Soren. The MLAs mentioned that the rumors spread by the opposition about them were false.
‘Everything is fine’
Ramdas Soren said they came to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and everything is fine. On the question of joining Champai Soren, he said that it’s all rumors, and no one is going anywhere. Everyone stands with Hemant Soren. When asked about Champai Soren, he said only Champai could answer that question. They had come to discuss issues related to their respective constituencies.
Samir Mohanty, the JMM MLA from Baharagora, said that he is with JMM and will continue to strengthen Hemant Soren’s leadership. He added that whatever rumors are circulating did not come from him. Regarding Champai Soren, he said that if Champai is upset, only he can clarify.
Champai Soren will not harm JMM
JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that all the MLAs had come to discuss issues related to their constituencies. He also mentioned that a cabinet meeting is due soon. He further stated that Champai Soren had already clarified that he would not harm the party, and no workers are with him. When asked whether the door is open or closed for Champai Soren within the party, he replied that JMM has neither a door nor walls.
