Now, actor Farhan Akhtar has joined this list of critics. Farhan has expressed his displeasure with the movie ‘Animal,’ sparking discussions.
In a recent interview with journalist Faye D’Souza, Farhan Akhtar shared his strong opinions about the movie ‘Animal.’ He stated, “I never want to tell anyone to watch the movie ‘Animal.’ The reason for this is that I find Ranbir’s role in this film offensive. As an actor, I did not like this role, so I can’t recommend it to others.”
Farhan was then asked if he had the opportunity to direct or produce this film, what would he change? In response, Farhan said, “Basically, I didn’t like this movie very much. The most important reason for this is Ranbir’s role. His role in the film is problematic, and that is my personal opinion.” Farhan shared his thoughts in the interview in the context of his upcoming film, ‘Don 3.’
Previously, Farhan also appeared on YouTuber Raj Shamani’s podcast. Apart from being an actor, Farhan is also a director and producer, with a deep understanding of how characters should be portrayed in films. In ‘Animal,’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga introduced Ranbir to the audience as an ‘alpha male.’ During the podcast, Farhan was asked his opinion about the movie ‘Animal.’
In his response, Farhan discussed the portrayal of ‘alpha male’ characters in the film. He remarked, “I am in a field where no one can tell anyone that the art they are creating is wrong. I never try to teach any director or writer how to do their job. Our country has strong laws about which movies are wrong and which are right.” He also stated on the podcast that the audience has the right to decide which movies they like.
Farhan Akhtar, who has a huge fan base, is set to release his new film ‘Don 3’ soon, with Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The audience is eagerly awaiting his upcoming film.
