The highly anticipated third season of the ‘Mirzapur’ series premiered on July 5, two months ago. Following the success of the previous two seasons, the audience was eagerly awaiting the new season. The third season received a mixed response from viewers, with some finding the episodes engaging while others did not. However, one actress from this season drew considerable attention—Neha Sargam, who played the role of Saloni Bhabhi.
Neha Sargam had made a request to the makers when she signed on for ‘Mirzapur 2’. Although she had agreed to this request at the time, the producers did not keep their promise. After the release of the series, Neha’s role received a lot of attention, especially due to the intimate scenes she was involved in. In an interview, Neha revealed her shock upon discovering these scenes.
In an episode of the Digital Commentary podcast, Neha Sargam discussed her role in ‘Mirzapur’ and her parents’ reaction to it. She shared that she had discussed her role with Mirzapur’s assistant director Gurmeet Singh and co-producer Puneet Krishna, who assured her that her role would be even better in Season 3. Neha had made a request to the producers, saying, “Sir, I have a request, my parents said ‘Son, do clean work’.” The producers found this amusing.
When Neha was signed for the second season, the makers agreed to her request and assured her there would be no intimate scenes. However, she was shocked when she learned about the scenes in the third season. Neha said, “When they told me about the scenes, I was in a state of shock. I wondered if they knew what they were talking about.”
In the series, Neha plays the role of Saloni Bhabhi, the wife of Bade Tyagi (played by Vijay Varma), who has a double role in the show.
