In a recent interview with ‘Zoom,’ Sonakshi opened up about her parents’ reaction to her marriage. Speaking about her father, she said, “All our friends and family had known about our relationship for years.”

She added, “My father was very happy when I told him about the marriage decision. He said, ‘Jab miyan bivi raazi to kya karega qazi’ (If the husband and wife are ready, who can stop them?). He had met Zaheer many times and liked him a lot. Interestingly, their birthdays are a day apart—my father’s birthday is on December 9 and Zaheer’s is on December 10—so they have a lot in common.”

Zaheer also spoke about his father-in-law, Shatrughan Sinha, in the same interview. He said, “I have a lot of respect for his intelligence. Whenever he speaks, the depth of his knowledge is surprising. Sitting with him for an hour or two feels like attending a university lecture.”
Sonakshi on Her Mother’s Reaction
Sonakshi also shared her mother Poonam Sinha’s reaction. She said, “My mother was aware of our relationship. She was the first person I confided in about it. Since my parents had a love marriage themselves, they fully supported us.”
