State Bureau, Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has called upon the workers of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to start preparing for the assembly elections. Addressing party workers from Kolhan and Palamu divisions on Friday, he issued a rallying cry. Notably, his former associate Champai Soren, who also hails from the Kolhan region, is now with the BJP.
Speaking at a program held at Sohrai Bhavan, he said that BJP’s political vultures are circling Jharkhand. “We need to counter their conspiracy,” he urged. “Workers, tighten your belts.”
Referring to the rich heritage of the state, he said, “Jharkhand is a land of brave warriors and revolutionaries. Together, we must counter BJP’s propaganda. We have to give a strong reply to their lies, deceit, and divisive conspiracies.”
‘Whenever attempts were made to subdue Jharkhand…’ Hemant Soren reminded them, “We need to remind them that whenever attempts were made to suppress Jharkhand, inspired by the sacrifices of our brave ancestors, Dishom Guru, and countless revolutionary comrades, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has given a fitting reply to the conspirators.” He added, “In the last four and a half years, the Abua government has countered every conspiracy of the BJP. Despite facing challenges from agencies, we have connected every section of society to numerous welfare schemes.”
Soren made an emotional appeal to the workers, saying, “Your son and brother, leading the Abua government, has worked to provide dignity, respect, and rights to millions of mothers, sisters, and daughters in the state. This effort will continue. Now, it’s time to tighten your belts to give a strong response to the conspirators of the BJP.”
JMM to Launch Mainiya Samman Yatra The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will soon launch the Mainiya Samman Yatra. A strategy for this was planned in Friday’s meeting with the party workers. The yatra will cover all 81 assembly constituencies of the state, with the start date to be announced soon. The yatra will be led by MLA Kalpana Soren and other female leaders of the party.
JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey said that suggestions from the workers regarding the proposed yatra have been taken, and a route chart has been prepared. The official announcement will be made after approval from the top leadership.
