Braj Nandan, Barhet (Sahibganj): On Wednesday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that people from the RSS infiltrate our society like rats and work to divide people. It is essential to identify such people. Efforts are being made to defame Jharkhand in the name of demography, but there has been no change in the demographic composition here. If anyone wants to see demographic changes, they should look at West Bengal.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during the concluding ceremony of the Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar (Your Scheme, Your Government at Your Doorstep) program at Bhognadih in Barhet, which he addressed via video conferencing. Due to the rain, he could not attend in person. In his address, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that in the upcoming assembly elections, the BJP will offer many temptations to influence Jharkhand. He urged people not to fall for them. The government is working to ensure that every individual benefits from its schemes. Twenty lakh additional green ration cards have been distributed in Jharkhand, houses have been provided, pensions for the elderly are being given, and the Maa Niya Samman Yojana has been launched.
Over the past four years, ₹10,000 crore has been distributed to women’s self-help groups for self-employment. After removing the “double-engine” government in 2019, the government ensured that no one died of hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the attempts of several chief ministers visiting here to hinder our work, we continued to serve the people.
‘Attempts to divide the tribal community over temples and mosques’
Taking a jab at the Chief Minister of Assam, Hemant Soren said that our tribal brothers have not yet received their rights in Assam. There are attempts to buy off our leaders and create divisions among the tribal community over the issues of temples and mosques. On this occasion, assets worth ₹144.41 crore were distributed, and the foundation stones for 264 projects worth ₹311 crore were laid.
Present on the occasion were MP Vijay Kumar Hansda, JMM’s central spokesperson Hemlal Murmu, Littipara MLA Dinesh William Marandi, Stephen Marandi, and Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati.
