State Bureau, Ranchi: The Jharkhand Council of Ministers, during a meeting held on Friday, approved a total of 49 proposals. Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel, while informing about the decisions taken during the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Project Bhawan, stated that five lakh new ration cards will be issued in the state.
In addition, the commission for ration dealers is being increased. The commission, which was previously ₹100 per quintal, has now been raised to ₹150 per quintal. Dependents of licensed shopkeepers over the age of 60 will also be able to apply for a license within one year.
A Medical College in Ranchi at a Cost of ₹10 Billion Dadel mentioned that administrative approval has been granted for the construction of a 700-bed medical college and hospital in Ranchi, costing ₹10.74 billion. Along with this, approval has been given to create a regulatory body for determining the fees of private medical colleges, engineering colleges, and other institutions in the state. A committee headed by a retired High Court judge will be formed for this.
Benefits for Farmer Assistants The Council of Ministers has increased the monthly remuneration of farmer assistants under the centrally sponsored scheme to ₹2,000, benefiting 16,532 farmer assistants. The budget for the construction of Rabindra Bhavan in Ranchi has also been increased.
₹2.92 Billion Approved for Rabindra Bhavan The Council of Ministers approved a revised estimated budget of ₹2.92 billion for the construction of Rabindra Bhavan in Ranchi. The land for the new medical college in Ranchi has been identified at the Rinpas campus in Kanke. The construction of a Science Center in Dhanbad has also been approved under a plan by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, while an incubation center will be built at BIT Sindri.
No Registration for Government Vehicles Older Than 15 Years The state government has decided not to allow the registration of government vehicles older than 15 years, and such vehicles will be scrapped. Additionally, private vehicle owners converting vehicles older than 15 years to scrap will receive up to a 50% discount on various services.
