As part of her Samman Yatra on Monday, Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren addressed a public gathering in Sisai, Gumla district. During her speech, Kalpana Soren criticized Himanta Biswa Sarma and Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Without naming anyone, Kalpana Soren said that external leaders who do not even speak the local language want to become the destiny-makers of Jharkhand. When their desires are not fulfilled, they harass those who are doing good work.
She pointed out that when the BJP government was in power in Jharkhand in 2016, they stopped the recruitment of teachers in minority schools across the state.
Regarding the Sarna Dharma Code, she mentioned that the current government has passed the proposal for the Sarna Dharma Code, but the BJP does not want it implemented. She accused the BJP of being a “PIL master gang” that obstructs all policies and initiatives in Jharkhand, including the recruitment policy, reservations for backward classes, the reservation policy in general, and the Maiya Samman Yojana, claiming the BJP opposes everything.
Kalpana Soren also emphasized that the fight to include Jharkhand’s Kurukh language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution would continue, stating that her “Abua government” (local government) would preserve Jharkhand’s culture and identity at all costs.
On mineral revenue, she alleged that while Jharkhand’s wealth is its own, the BJP wants to develop other states using Jharkhand’s resources and royalties. She also claimed that thousands of crores of rupees owed to Jharkhand under the MGNREGA scheme remain pending with the central government.

The INDIA coalition government, especially in Gumla district, is promoting coarse grains and waiving off farmers’ loans. The government is also providing ₹50 crore as incentives to millet farmers.
Women’s and Child Development Minister Baby Devi’s Statement: Minister Baby Devi highlighted that the state government has introduced the Old Age Pension Scheme and the Maiya Samman Yojana for the first time. She promised that if the Hemant government returns to power, the amount under the Maiya Samman Yojana would be increased.
