In a recent interview during the Live Love Laugh lecture series, actress Deepika Padukone shared her experiences of facing criticism after her Bollywood debut in Om Shanti Om. She revealed that despite the film’s success, she received negative comments about her pronunciation, skills, and abilities. Deepika explained how one particular comment deeply impacted her and motivated her to improve herself. She said, “Negativity is sometimes a good thing, it makes you change yourself for the better. What matters is how you handle criticism and how positively you take it.”
Deepika also emphasized the importance of self-love, stating that people often look down on individuals who prioritize themselves. She addressed how resting and taking time off is crucial for performing well at work, remarking that it’s strange how people misinterpret self-care as a lack of motivation.
In terms of her upcoming projects, Deepika Padukone will be seen in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, alongside actors like Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar. The movie is set to release on November 1. She was also recently praised for her role in Kalki: 2898 AD, which was a box-office success.
