Railway Route Changes and Special Trains Announced for Chhath Puja

In the Khurda Road Railway Division, on the Cuttack-Kendrapara Road railway section, a channel sleeper renovation project will take place from November 1 to December 31, causing train traffic disruptions. Due to this, Chakradharpur Railway Division has announced a diversion in the routes for four trains departing from Rourkela and Barbil stations for one month, from November 1 to December 31.

1. Train No. 18416 Puri-Barbil Express, which usually travels via Barang-Cuttack-Kapilas Road, will now follow the route Barang-Naraj Marthapur-Machhapur-Salagaon-Kapilas Road to reach Barbil.
2. Train No. 18415 Barbil-Puri Express, which typically goes via Kapilas Road-Cuttack-Barang, will be rerouted through Kapilas Road-Salagaon-Machhpur-Naraj Marthapur-Barang to reach Puri.
3. Train No. 18125 Rourkela-Puri Express, which runs via Raj Athgarh-Nergundi-Cuttack-Barang, will follow the alternative route Raj Athgarh-Radhakishorepur-Naraj to Puri.
4. Train No. 18126 Puri-Rourkela Express, which operates via Barang-Cuttack-Nergundi-Raj Athgarh, will now run through Barang-Naraj Marthapur-Radhakishorepur-Raj Athgarh to reach Rourkela.

Additionally, to manage the high passenger volume during Chhath Puja, South Eastern Railway has scheduled special trains from Tatanagar to Katihar and from Ranchi to Purnia and Anand Vihar:

• Tatanagar-Katihar Chhath Special: Train No. 08181 will depart Tatanagar on November 4 and 11 at 10:40 PM and reach Katihar the next day at 3:15 PM. For the return journey, Train No. 08182 will depart Katihar on November 5 and 12 at 7:40 PM, reaching Tatanagar the following day at 11:00 AM. The train will stop at Chandil, Purulia, and Jaychandi Pahar stations.
• Ranchi-Purnia Court Chhath Special: Train No. 08626 will depart from Ranchi on November 3 and 10 at 6:00 PM, arriving in Purnia Court at 11:00 AM the following day. The return train, No. 08625, will depart Purnia Court on November 4 and 11 at 12:10 PM, reaching Ranchi the next day at 5:30 AM, with stops at Muri and Bokaro Steel City stations.
• Ranchi-Anand Vihar Chhath Special: Train No. 02877 will leave Ranchi on November 1, 8, and 15 at 11:55 PM, reaching Anand Vihar at 3:00 AM on the third day. For the return trip, Train No. 02878 will depart from Anand Vihar on November 3, 10, and 17 at 4:00 AM, reaching Ranchi the next day at 5:00 AM, with a stop at Muri station.
