Jamshedpur/Chaibasa. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) star campaigner and MLA Kalpana Soren addressed election rallies in Jamshedpur and Chaibasa on Sunday in support of Congress and JMM candidates. During her speeches, she launched a strong attack on the BJP and the central government.
While addressing a rally organized in favor of Congress candidate Banna Gupta at the football ground in the tribal-dominated area of Ulidih in Mango, Jamshedpur, Kalpana said that the Hemant Soren government has done significant developmental work in a short span of time, and they have come to seek blessings based on these achievements.
What Kalpana Said About the Maaiya Samman Yojana
She stated that the people of Jharkhand will respond to the question of whether a government that divides society should come to power or one that unites. BJP wants to keep people divided along Hindu-Muslim, upper-caste-lower-caste lines and continue misleading the public, but now the people of Jharkhand have seen through them. Today, under the Maaiya Samman Yojana, funds are being directly deposited into the accounts of 5.5 million women, which reflects Hemant Soren’s vision. Meanwhile, at a rally in support of INDIA alliance candidates Niral Purty and Sonaram Sinku in Andhari village, Kumaradungi block of Majhgaon constituency, Kalpana claimed that BJP is intimidated by the Maaiya Samman Yojana.
She said that BJP ruled Jharkhand for 20 years but left the state in poor condition, whereas Hemant Soren, in just five years, has put Jharkhand on the path of development. With the people’s support, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) government in Jharkhand will complete its remaining development projects swiftly.
Demand for Tribal Status for Tea Garden Workers from Assam CM
After the rally in the Majhgaon assembly, Kalpana Soren, in response to a question, attacked Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, asking why, if he truly cares about the tribals of Jharkhand, he is not granting tribal status to the tea garden workers in Assam.
JMM Demands Amit Shah Address Corruption Allegations Against Himanta, Koda, Bhanu, Kamlesh
As the date of the first phase of voting approaches, the exchange of accusations among political parties has intensified. On Sunday, JMM targeted BJP leaders. JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya questioned Home Minister Amit Shah, who has accused the Hemant government of corruption.
He stated that the country knows that the biggest corrupt officials are within BJP. What will Shah say about the allegations against Shivraj Singh Chauhan while he was CM? Why were leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma and Yediyurappa made Chief Ministers? Leaving aside external leaders, why did you ally with people like Kamlesh Singh and Madhu Koda? Amit Shah should answer these questions.
He added that BJP has been in power at the center since 2014. The last census was conducted in 2011. If there has been infiltration over the past 11 years, then who is responsible? BJP implemented NRC in Assam, so they should explain the outcome. What has been achieved by implementing UCC in Uttarakhand?
Amit Shah, by mentioning UCC and NRC in Jharkhand, is trying to instill fear. He has started labeling Bengali-speaking people as Bangladeshis. Jharkhand has a large Bengali-speaking population. Shah has essentially branded all of them as Bangladeshis.
He said that it is not Babulal Marandi but PM Narendra Modi who is contesting this election. Modi should also address his unfulfilled election promises.
