BSNL Launches Intranet TV Service With Over 500 Live Channels: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the launch of its first fiber-based intranet TV service in select regions of India. The service, called BSNL IFTV, was introduced last month and comes with a new logo and six new features. It uses BSNL’s Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network to provide users with live TV services, high-quality visuals, and Pay TV facilities. Interestingly, the company has also started a Wi-Fi roaming service, allowing customers across the country to use high-speed internet at BSNL hotspots, thus reducing their data costs.
BSNL IFTV Services:
BSNL shared a post on its X (Twitter) @BSNLCorporate account, stating, “With the new BSNL IFTV service, customers in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu can watch over 500 live TV channels in high-speed quality. It will also offer pay TV content and other live TV services.” Additionally, the data used for TV streaming will not be deducted from the IFTV pack and will be treated separately. Customers will get unlimited data for streaming, and the Live TV service will be available at no extra charge for BSNL FTTH customers.
BSNL will also offer popular OTT platforms and streaming apps such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, and Zee, along with more than 500 live TV channels and games. However, the BSNL IFTV service will only be available on Android TV for now. Customers with Android 10 or later TVs can download the BSNL Live TV app from the Google Play Store.
To subscribe to BSNL IFTV, customers can download the BSNL Selfcare app from the Play Store and register for the service. This initiative is aimed at providing safe, reliable, and affordable services.
