Ranchi: On November 28, a new government is set to be formed in Jharkhand. Hemant Soren will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand on this day.
After a meeting of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) at the Chief Minister’s residence, Hemant Soren met Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Raj Bhavan to stake a claim to form the new government. He submitted a list of his supporting MLAs to the Governor.
Following this, the Governor invited Hemant Soren to form the government. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on November 28 at Morhabadi Ground.
It is being reported that the cabinet will be formed based on the old formula. One cabinet position will be allocated for every five MLAs. As per this arrangement, JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) will get six ministerial positions, Congress will get four, and RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) will get one ministerial position. If the left-wing parties make a request, they may also get one ministerial position.
Regarding CPI(ML), it is being said that no such request has been received from them so far.
