Govinda and Krushna Abhishek Reunite on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’
Comedian Kapil Sharma’s popular show The Great Indian Kapil Show is currently making headlines, with its second season ruling the hearts of audiences. In the previous episode, the Sinha family—Sonakshi Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha, and Poonam Sinha—entertained viewers, while their son-in-law, Zaheer Iqbal, also made an appearance. Now, the upcoming episode is creating a buzz, as three legendary actors of the 1990s—Govinda, Shakti Kapoor, and Chunky Pandey—will come together on one stage.
Promos of this episode have gone viral on social media, particularly one that features Govinda and Krushna Abhishek sharing a stage after many years. Fans are speculating that this reunion may signal the end of the long-standing feud between the uncle and nephew. In the promo, Govinda is seen hugging Krushna, which has further fueled the speculation.
The promo also showcases the fun-filled style of Govinda and Shakti Kapoor. In one segment, Govinda and Chunky Pandey make jokes about Shakti Kapoor’s alleged affairs. Meanwhile, Krushna enters the show disguised as Ali Baba from the tale Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, while Kiku Sharda portrays Sharda Jinn.
In the promo, Krushna hugs Govinda and says, “We have met after a long time; now I won’t let you go.” Govinda and Kiku Sharda respond with humorous remarks. When Krushna, in his usual style, compares Kiku Sharda to a donkey, Govinda jokingly tells Krushna, “You are a donkey in a black kurta.” This remark causes everyone to burst into laughter, including Krushna himself.
Eight Years of Dispute Ended
The feud between Govinda and Krushna Abhishek began in 2016 when Govinda was offended by a joke Krushna made on his show. The controversy was further intensified by a tweet from Krushna’s wife, Kashmira Shah. During that time, both Govinda and Krushna criticized each other publicly through the media. However, it now seems that the curtain has fallen on this long-standing dispute.
