State Bureau, Ranchi: After allocating departments to ministers, Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a cabinet meeting at the Ministry Building on Friday evening. During the meeting, ministers were tasked with reviewing their respective departments over the next two months. Additionally, significant plans were outlined to accelerate development work in the state.
The Chief Minister, while providing details about the cabinet’s decisions, stated that ministers have been instructed to visit their departmental offices at the district level for evaluations. They were also directed to expedite the process of filling vacant positions and handling promotions within their departments. Furthermore, ministers have been asked to establish direct communication with the beneficiaries of their respective departments.
During the reviews in the coming two months, departmental ministers will also assess pending projects and prepare reports on the obstacles hindering their completion. If changes to the projects are necessary, the process for those changes will also be initiated.
Consideration of New Proposals
To ensure the reach of developmental plans to rural and hilly areas, especially where tribal and backward communities reside, ministers were advised to deliberate on new proposals. The cabinet also discussed reviewing the utility of newly constructed buildings and advised avoiding unnecessary construction.
Be Cautious in Appointing Personal and Private Secretaries
The Chief Minister advised ministers to exercise caution while appointing their personal and private secretaries. It was suggested that complete background checks be conducted before any appointments. Additionally, they were instructed to review court cases involving government matters to reduce the likelihood of losses.
Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav Takes Charge: No Tolerance for Negligence
Sanjay Prasad Yadav, the Minister of Labor, Employment, Training, and Skill Development, as well as the Industries Department, took charge of his office on Friday. Department officials and staff welcomed him with bouquets.
On the occasion of assuming office, the minister directed officials and staff to ensure there is no negligence in departmental work or public welfare. He emphasized that no middlemen or agents should operate within the department. Tasks related to public interest, state interest, and social welfare must not be delayed, and everyone must perform their duties with honesty.
Present during the event were Industry Secretary Jitendra Kumar Singh, Industry Director Sushant Gaurav, Director of Employment and Training Sanjeev Kumar Besra, and Shailesh Kumar Sinha, among other departmental officials and employees. Leaders from the Rashtriya Janata Dal, including Chief Spokesperson Dr. Manoj Kumar, General Secretary Abid Ali, Kailash Yadav, Manoj Pandey, and Ramkumar Yadav, extended their congratulations to the minister.
