Archana Puran Singh first worked with veteran Bollywood actress Rekha in the film Ladai in 1979. After that, 35 years later, the two shared the stage on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. Archana Puran Singh posted on Instagram, sharing how dreams come true and how she once asked Rekha about a mysterious man.
Archana shared some photos taken with Rekha on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. She also reminisced about her childhood. “When I saw Rekhaji’s film Saavan Bhado, I was a girl living in a small village. I never expected to come to Mumbai or meet Rekhaji in person,” Archana wrote.
Archana and Rekha’s First Meeting
Finally, the day came when Archana got the chance to work with her favorite icon. “After many years, I worked with her in Ladai. There, she called me into her makeup room and taught me about makeup. She also advised me on how to apply eyelashes, a trend that Rekha is credited with starting in Bollywood,” Archana wrote.
Archana Asked Rekha About ‘Him’
Talking about her bond with Rekha, Archana said, “I have fond memories of us chatting on the lawn of Film City. I also asked her who ‘he’ was, and she said, ‘Don’t you know who he is?’” Archana praised Rekha, saying it is always a pleasure to meet her and learn from her. Archana wrote that even the dreams of children from small villages can come true.
Rekha will be making her first appearance on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show this weekend. The makers of the show shared a teaser on Saturday, which gives a glimpse of the episode. In the video, Rekha is seen dancing with Krushna Abhishek, who plays Amitabh Bachchan. The episode will be available to watch on Netflix on December 8.
