Aamir Khan Attends Award Ceremony After Years, Receives Red Sea Honorary Award
Actor Aamir Khan has been avoiding award shows for many years. In the 1990s, despite his films performing well, Aamir stopped attending award shows because he did not receive awards at many of them. However, after many years, Aamir Khan attended an award ceremony. He was present at the ‘Red Sea International Film Festival,’ an international film festival.
The fourth season of the Red Sea International Film Festival began in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) with a grand opening. The festival has seen the presence of many Hollywood and international celebrities. One of the highlights of the festival this year was the awarding of the Red Sea Honorary Award to Oscar-nominated actress Emily Blunt for her outstanding contribution to international cinema. Along with Emily Blunt, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Hollywood action hero Vin Diesel were also honored at the festival.
Actress Eva Longoria introduced Aamir Khan, mentioning that she has always been a fan of Aamir and praised his contribution to global cinema, highlighting his films like Lagaan, 3 Idiots, and Dangal. Accepting the award, Aamir said, “It is a matter of pride for me to be honored at such a prestigious festival.”
Netizens were left speechless after Aamir Khan attended an award ceremony after so many years. In an interview, Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist was asked why he doesn’t attend award ceremonies. Aamir replied that the love he gets from the audience is the real award for him, more than any award ceremony.
