Jamshedpur: Train numbers operating in the South Eastern Railway zone will change from January 1. Currently, trains running with an 18-series number will now operate with a 68-series number. Hence, passengers must pay special attention to train numbers before making reservations from January 1 to avoid booking errors. The numbers of a total of 44 trains passing through the South Eastern Railway zone are being changed.

Train Number Changes in Chakradharpur Division:
Passengers, take note! From January 1, 2025, the numbers of 44 special trains passing through or departing from Chakradharpur Division will be changed. The digit “zero” will be removed from these train numbers. However, the train timings will remain the same, and they will continue to run as per their scheduled timetable.
According to Chakradharpur Division’s Senior DCM Aditya Kumar Choudhary, these 44 special trains will revert to their pre-pandemic numbers starting January 1, 2025. Currently, there is no change in train fares by the Railways.
