Robin Uthappa Arrest Warrant:
An arrest warrant has been issued against former India opener Robin Uthappa for allegedly defrauding the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) contributions. The case pertains to an amount of ₹23.36 lakh that was allegedly not credited to employees’ accounts. At the time, Uthappa was the director of Centaurus Lifestyle Brands Private Limited. The warrant was issued by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Shadaksha Gopal Reddy.
The Pulakeshinagar police in Karnataka were directed to execute the warrant. However, police officials stated that Uthappa was not found at his listed residence. The warrant, initially issued on December 4, was not executed as the investigation is still ongoing.
According to The Times of India, Regional PF Commissioner Shadaksha Gopal Reddy directed the Pulakeshinagar police station in East Bengaluru to issue the warrant. However, the police clarified that Robin Uthappa has not been residing at the mentioned address for the past year and is currently in Dubai.
The police have since returned the warrant to the PF office in KR Puram, informing them that Uthappa is no longer under their jurisdiction. A senior officer mentioned that no FIR has been registered against Uthappa, as no formal complaint has been filed.

Providing more details about the case, the police officer said, “We received a letter from the PF office a week ago, requesting the execution of the arrest warrant. Uthappa was previously living in an apartment on Wheeler Road in Pulakeshinagar. When our staff visited the address, they learned that Uthappa had vacated the property a year ago and is now living in Dubai. We have informed the PF office about this development.”

Robin Uthappa was a member of the India Under-19 ODI team that won the 2004 World Cup. He made his international debut for India two years later. Uthappa played 46 ODIs and 13 T20Is for India. He was part of the Indian squad that won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 in South Africa.
