Jharkhand News: Skill Development for 2 Lakh Youths by 2025, Says Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav
Labor, Employment, and Training Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav has announced that by 2025, 2 lakh youths will be provided skill development training and connected to employment opportunities. A target has been set for this initiative.
The minister made this statement on Friday during his address at the “Skill Stakeholders Connect” event organized by the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society at Radisson Blu Hotel. He emphasized that skill development of youth is a social responsibility.
Minister’s Statement on Encouraging Youth
The minister highlighted the significant role of skill development in promoting economic growth and social transformation in the state and country. He said, “It is our social responsibility to identify the true potential and talent of the youth and encourage them so that they can progress toward their goals.”
During the event, industry representatives and employers emphasized the need for skill development training that aligns with the requirements of industries. The society officials shared that so far, 5.25 lakh youths have received skill development training. Of these, 4.5 lakh have been certified, and 2.25 lakh have been provided employment.

Tatanagar Station Employees Promoted
Fifty-one employees working at Tatanagar Railway Station have been promoted from Technician-2 to Technician-1 (Level-5). The Chakradharpur division issued the promotion orders on Friday. Under this order, all employees will continue working in the Traction Repair and OHE departments as before. The promotions have been granted under the Departmental Promotion Quota (DPQ).
It is worth noting that the railway department promotes its deserving employees annually across all grades. After the promotion, the employees are excited and happy about their advancement.
