Airtel vs Jio vs Vi Recharge Plans
After the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) ordered the introduction of voice and SMS-only recharge plans, Airtel, Jio, and Vi have launched new vouchers that are more economical compared to regular recharge plans bundled with data benefits.
Introduced a few days ago, both Airtel and Jio have further improved these value plans, which are currently under review by TRAI. Below is the information about the new recharge plans introduced by Airtel and Jio without data benefits. With the introduction of these plans, both Airtel and Jio have discontinued some of their plans that included data benefits.
Airtel’s New Voice and SMS-Only Recharge Plans
Airtel’s ₹1,849 Recharge Plan
This annual recharge plan from Airtel has a validity of 365 days and offers unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS for the entire validity period. The effective price of this plan is ₹5.06 per day.
Airtel’s ₹469 Recharge Plan
This plan has a validity of 84 days with unlimited calling and 900 SMS for the entire duration. The effective price of this plan is ₹5.58 per day.
Jio’s New Voice and SMS-Only Recharge Plans
Jio’s ₹1,748 Recharge Plan
This plan is slightly cheaper than Airtel’s and offers a validity of 336 days with unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS for the entire duration. Additional benefits include JioCinema access (base tier). The effective price of this plan is ₹5.20 per day.
Jio’s ₹448 Recharge Plan
This plan offers 84 days of validity, unlimited calling, and 1,000 SMS. It also provides access to select Jio services like JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. The effective price of this plan is ₹5 per day, making it the most affordable among similar plans.
Vi’s New Voice and SMS-Only Recharge Plans
Vi’s ₹1,460 Recharge Plan
This recharge plan from Vi has a validity of 270 days and offers unlimited calling with 100 SMS per day. Additional messages will cost ₹1 for local SMS and ₹1.50 for STD SMS. The effective price of this plan is ₹5.41 per day.
