Akshay Kumar Goes Viral as ‘Teleprompter Actor’; Ahmed Khan Reacts
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his unconventional stunts, witty dialogues, and powerful action sequences. Over the years, he has portrayed diverse roles, proving himself to be a versatile actor. However, the “Khiladi” of Bollywood is now trending for a different reason—being called a “teleprompter actor.”
Recently, a video of Akshay Kumar has gone viral on social media. In the video, a young man is seen watching Akshay’s film Sarfira and claims that the actor is reading his dialogues from a teleprompter instead of delivering them naturally. He provides several examples to support his claim, highlighting moments where Akshay’s eyes appear to be looking downward while delivering intense dialogues. Even during serious scenes, Akshay seems to be reading something rather than maintaining eye contact with his co-stars.
As the video gained traction online, famous director, choreographer, and producer Ahmed Khan responded to the controversy. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he was asked about Akshay Kumar’s viral video.
Defending Akshay, Ahmed Khan stated, “It’s an art. Many actors recite their dialogues well, but they fail to deliver them with the same energy and effectiveness. Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, adds his own improvisations and lines to enhance the scene.”
He further explained, “When Akshay is given dialogues during a film shoot, he often jokes, ‘I am still studying in school, so I will recite them.’ He memorizes some lines and then delivers them in his own way.”
Ahmed Khan also praised Akshay’s spontaneity, saying, “Even though Akshay may read his dialogues differently, he adds his own heartfelt lines to make the scene funnier and more impactful. He has created several iconic dialogues like ‘Behan Dar Gayi’ and ‘Chal Chal Apne Baap Ko Mat Sikha.’ Every actor has their own working style—this is Akshay’s.”
