Bihar Poll Prediction: India Today-C Voter Survey Forecasts NDA’s Strong Lead
India Today and C Voter have jointly conducted a survey called ‘Mood of the Nation’ to predict the likely political scenario if elections were held today. According to the survey, the NDA is projected to win 343 seats nationwide, with the BJP securing 282 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to win only 78 seats.
With the Bihar assembly elections set to take place later this year, the findings of this survey provide insights into the potential outcome. India Today has reported these predictions in detail.
What is in ‘Mood of The Nation’?
According to the survey, if Bihar’s assembly elections were held now, the BJP-led NDA would secure a major victory. The findings presented by India Today-C Voter indicate that the NDA is likely to win between 33 to 35 seats out of Bihar’s 40 Lok Sabha seats.
On the other hand, the Grand Alliance of Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is expected to suffer a significant setback, winning only 5 to 7 seats.
NDA’s Vote Share Expected to Rise
The survey also predicts an increase in NDA’s vote share.
- In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, NDA secured 47% of the votes in Bihar. This is now expected to rise to 52%.
- The Grand Alliance’s vote share is also projected to increase slightly, from 39% to 42%.
Survey Details
The survey was conducted between January 2 and February 9, 2025, with 1,25,123 voters from Lok Sabha constituencies across the country participating.
“Difficult to Defeat NDA If It Stays United” – Yashwant Deshmukh
C Voter founder Yashwant Deshmukh emphasized that if NDA parties remain united, defeating them in the Bihar assembly elections will be extremely difficult.
“Bihar is a state where voting trends are entirely based on statistical calculations. Unlike Delhi, there is no vote division here. If Nitish Kumar’s JDU, Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party, and the BJP stay together, it will be extremely difficult for the Grand Alliance to challenge the NDA,” said Deshmukh.
