News about Vashu Bhagnani’s production house Pooja Entertainment being in debt has been coming for a few days now. After the box office failure of ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’, Vashu Bhagnani has now remained silent on the talks of non-payment of dues and selling the office building. Vashu Bhagnani has said that he has been working with the same team for many years and they have not received any complaint till date.
Speaking to Times of India, Vashu said, “I have been in this business for the past 30 years. People who claim that we owe arrears should come forward and talk to us. Has he signed with Pooja Entertainment? Have they filed a complaint about this? There are many other ways to resolve these issues than making statements on social media. If there is any problem we will solve it. No one is running away. Please come to my office, talk to us, give us your documents and give us 60 days to resolve the issue. I will not succumb to any pressure or blackmail. We also work with companies in the UK, so if anyone has an outstanding balance they can contact them directly.”
Vashu Bhagnani is the father-in-law of MLA Dhiraj Deshmukh. Vashu’s daughter Dipshikha is Dhiraj Deshmukh’s wife. Meanwhile, Vashu Bhagnani dismissed the rumors of selling the office space to pay off the Rs 250 crore loan. He said that the office has been shifted to another place as the redevelopment of the office space is going on. It was planned a year ago. Now with the release of Bade Mian Chhote Mian, this work has been started. He mentioned that hits and flops are part of the business and now he is working on the next project.
After Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff ‘s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ failed at the box office, there were reports of the company cutting staff. Made on a budget of around 350 crores, the film earned only 59.17 crores. Apart from this, Vashu Bhagnani’s ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Mission Raniganj’ hit the box office. Tiger Shroff’s big budget ‘Ganpat’ was also a flop. Even after the deal, Netflix refused to release the film, adding to the debt, reports said. But Vashu Bhagnani has dismissed all these rumours.
