Heavy rains have started in the capital Delhi since last night. Although this is a good news for Delhiites who have been suffering from severe heat and water scarcity for the past few days, due to heavy rains, there are incidents of falls in many places. Delhi Fire Department has informed that one person died and three others were injured after the roof collapsed at Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport. The injured are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. All flights from the terminal have been canceled till further orders. Also, operations here have been stopped due to security reasons.
The fire department informed that a call was received from the airport at 5.30 am about the collapse of the roof. Meanwhile, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said in a post on X that he himself is monitoring the incident. Also giving instructions for relief work.
Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said, “After the roof collapse incident at Terminal One, I myself have been keeping a close eye on it. Airport authorities have been ordered to provide assistance to stranded passengers at Terminal 1. The injured have been rushed to the hospital and rescue operations are still going on here.”

Meanwhile, it has been noticed that many parts of Delhi have accumulated water due to the heavy rain that has been going on since night. Vehicles are parked in many places due to disrepair and waterlogging. Due to this, the problem of traffic congestion has also arisen in many places this morning.
