The name of Mihir Shah has come up in the case of crushing a woman by driving a BMW car at high speed in Mumbai’s Worli area. Accused Mihir Shah is the son of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah. Rajesh Shah has been arrested. However, the police are searching for Mihir Shah. Who is Mihir Shah?
Mihir Shah is the son of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah.
Mihir has completed his education till 10th standard, he has not studied further.
Rajesh Shah owns a construction business, in which Mihir helps him.
The accident took place in the early hours of Sunday, but Mihir Shah had consumed alcohol. He and his driver took a long drive.
Mihir was driving a car while going towards Goregaon from Worli, when he hit the Nakhawa couple. Kaveri Nakhawa died in this accident.
The accident happened around 5.30 am. It is also alleged that the accused removed the Shiv Sena sticker after the accident.
Pradeep Nakhwa has also said that Mihir was driving the car at the time of the accident. Eyewitnesses have also said the same.
Mihir is absconding since the accident, the police are searching for him.
What happened before the accident?
According to the information that has come to light, Mihir Shah, the accused in the heat and run case, was drinking in a bar in Juhu at night. After that he went to Goregaon. After reaching home, he told his driver that he wanted to go for a long drive. During his journey he came to Worli area of Mumbai. After that he left for Goregaon again. Eyewitnesses have alleged that Mihir Shah himself was driving the car while going to Goregaon. Also the accident happened near Atria Mall. From there he chased Kaveri Nakhawa. Mihir was drunk when the accident took place. Police are investigating the matter further.
Pradeep Nakhwa’s outcry
Nakhawa was moved to tears while describing the accident. He said, “That car ferried my wife from CJ House in Worli to Worli Sea Link. She had no clothes left on her body. My wife is now gone leaving two children. We earn our livelihood by selling fish. How do we live now? Today people of this party are criticizing each other. But from behind they support the accused. Who will save us?” Pradeep Nakhwa has asked such an anxious question.
