The Monsoon Session of the State Legislature is underway. In this session, the opposition is trying to surround the government on various issues in the state. The ruling party seems to be answering the questions of the opposition. However, despite this, it was seen that the opposition became very aggressive today. The Minister of the concerned department was not present in the House regarding the question raised by the opposition while the discussion was going on in the Assembly. Also, the opposition expressed anger over the absence of the Chief Minister and both the Deputy Chief Ministers in the Assembly. Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar demanded that the House be adjourned until the Minister is not present in the House.
Shiv Sena Thackeray group leader Bhaskar Jadhav was also very angry as the minister was not present in the hall . “The Chief Minister is not present in the auditorium. There are two Deputy Chief Ministers. They are neither. Not even the minister of the concerned department. Not even the secretary of the concerned department. What’s going on in the hall? Why run the hall? Do the officials sit in the chamber and understand the suffering of the people?”
What did Bhaskar Jadhav say?
“The government in power in 2014 has spoiled another tradition of this House. When important topics were discussed in the hall, the secretary of the concerned department used to sit in the lobby of this hall. I have seen this myself. I have been in the House since 1995. But since 2014 this practice has been broken. No secretary sits here. When there was a discussion in the hall regarding law and order, the DG and the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai used to sit. Now the minister says that officials of the concerned department sit in the chamber and listen to the discussion. This government has pampered the officials. Therefore, the work of spoiling the administration of the state has started since 2014. However, all this is wrong”, said Bhaskar Jadhav.
Jadhav further said, “Ministers of respective departments do not sit in the auditorium, secretaries do not sit. So what is the convention going on for? Who should take note of the questions? Who will listen to the suffering of the people of Maharashtra? Will the officers sit in the chamber and know the pain of the people? Why has the government pampered these officials? Due to this government, these officials have started sitting on their heads. But it needs to be improved. Officers should come and sit in the hall lobby. People’s sufferings should be understood”, Bhaskar Jadhav said on this occasion.
What did Girish Mahajan say?
As the ministers of the respective departments of the ruling party were not present in the assembly to answer the questions of the opposition, it was seen that the opposition became very aggressive in the House. Bhaskar Jadhav strongly criticized the government and raised some questions. Girish Mahajan answered and told Bhaskar Jadhav. Girish Mahajan said, “Bhaskar Jadhav said that during our government, our Chief Minister used to attend the discussions. When did Uddhav Thackeray appear in the hall during the discussion? Girish Mahajan replied to Bhaskar Jadhav saying that Uddhav Thackeray never attended the discussion when he was the Chief Minister.
