“The assailant was seen on the roof of a building adjacent to the event. The attacker had a rifle. He was on the roof of the building for a long time. It was about 50 feet away from us. So I just wondered why Trump is still talking? Why was the attacker not taken out immediately? Just then, there was a sound of gunfire,” an eyewitness told the BBC.
