The 53rd meeting of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council was held recently. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. A big relief has been given to the businessmen and taxpayers in this settlement. In the GST council meeting, decisions were taken to provide business facilities and relief to taxpayers. The deadline for filing GSTR-4 for small taxpayers has been extended to June 30 for the financial year 2024-25. The Sharad Pawar group has criticized the central government and the state government over this.
Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis made an ex post informing about the decisions taken in the GST Council Council . Criticism has been received from the official X account of Sharad Pawar group by retweeting this post . “Maharashtra is the number one state to deposit maximum GST in the central treasury. But not a single decision was taken in the 53rd GST Council meeting prioritizing the interest of Maharashtra. Not a single decision was taken in this meeting for the benefit of Baliraja and the working common people of this country. But the deputy chief minister of this state, Devendra Fadnavis, is praising the Modi government 3.0″, said the Sharad Pawar group.
“Not only this, Maharashtra’s Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was also expected to attend the GST Council meeting in Delhi and raise Maharashtra’s issues, but Ajit Pawar, who is constantly visiting Delhi for his personal interests, refused to attend the important GST meeting. “Maharashtra will never tolerate this hypocrisy of the grand coalition government”, the Sharad Pawar group also targeted Ajit Pawar.
