State Bureau, Ranchi: Central President of the AJSU Party, Sudesh Mahto, released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections, promising to implement a local policy based on the final survey records, to secure recognition for the Sarna religious code, and to conduct a caste survey in the state. He stated that the manifesto focuses on youth and women, with slogans like “This time, a government that provides jobs” and “Ask questions, change the government,” and presents nine resolutions for rebuilding Jharkhand.
He promised that, if an NDA government is formed, vacant positions in various departments would be filled within a year, and vocational education would be made mandatory in the curriculum. He added that a Commission for Employment would be established to provide job opportunities to the youth.
On Friday, at the party office in Harmu, the manifesto was released in the presence of senior vice-president and MP Chandraprakash Choudhary, General Secretary Ramchandra Sahis, and Dr. Lambodar Mahto. The party promised a minimum monthly income of ₹10,000 per family and an annual income of ₹1.21 lakh. The manifesto also includes a pledge to provide ₹2,500 monthly under the Nari Samman Yojana for every woman, health insurance worth ₹15 lakh, and life insurance worth ₹10 lakh for each family.
The party also promised to increase the number of assembly seats and initiate the formation of a legislative council if the NDA forms the government. To triple farmers’ incomes, the manifesto outlines various programs. The party pledged monthly support of ₹2,500 for women under the Nari Samman Yojana, free electricity up to 200 units for BPL families, internships for youth with stipends ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹25,000, and an annual incentive of ₹30,000 for unemployed graduates and postgraduates under the Nirmal Mahto Yuva Nirman Yojana.
Additionally, under the social security scheme, the party vowed to increase the pension from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 per month, provide LPG cylinders at ₹500, and offer two free cylinders per year. The manifesto also pledges to reserve 50% of posts for women in the roles of teachers, constables, and panchayat servants. The party’s nine resolutions include job creation for youth, women’s rights, improvement of farmers’ incomes, social justice, education and healthcare, tourism and sports development, preservation of Jharkhand’s language, culture and heritage, protection of water, forest, and land, industrial development and private investment, and self-employment for good governance.
Cancellation of CGL Exam and Reduction of Exam Fees
The manifesto also mentions the cancellation of the CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam and the establishment of an inquiry commission to investigate recruitment scams. It further pledges to charge only a nominal ₹10 fee for competitive exams.
Formation of a Ministry for Backward Classes and Reservation Based on Population
The party committed to forming a Backward Classes Welfare Ministry and ensuring reservations for backward classes based on population. It also mentioned addressing the legal and constitutional inconsistencies related to various castes and sub-castes in the state.
MGNREGA Wages for Farmers Working on Their Land
Farmers will be paid MGNREGA wages for working on their own land for 100 days. The minimum support price for paddy will be set at ₹3,200 per quintal, and landless, agricultural laborers and vulnerable farmer families will receive accident insurance worth ₹5 lakh.
