What happened?
Technician Atul Subhash died by suicide by hanging himself in a flat in Bengaluru last month. The 34-year-old was working in a senior position at a private company in Bengaluru. Before taking the extreme step, Atul wrote a 24-page letter detailing serious allegations of harassment against his wife and her family.
According to the letter, Atul alleged that his wife had demanded ₹3 crore from him to settle their divorce case. Additionally, she had demanded a separate amount for the upbringing and maintenance of their child. Atul also recorded a video seeking justice, claiming that his wife had filed several false cases against him and subjected him to severe mental and emotional torture.
