Bhagam Bhag Sequel: The Comedy Classic Returns with ‘Bhagam Part 2’
The sequel to the iconic comedy film Bhagam Bhag—starring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal—is officially in the works! Originally released in 2006, this blockbuster comedy made audiences laugh out loud and became a beloved classic. Now, 18 years later, the much-awaited sequel, Bhagam Part 2, is set to bring another wave of laughter and entertainment to the big screen.
The makers have officially announced the sequel, and excitement is already building. Discussions about the sequel had been circulating for some time, but it’s now confirmed that the scriptwriting for Bhagam Part 2 is underway. The film rights have been transferred from Shemaroo Entertainment to Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions. Sarita, who is collaborating with Shemaroo, is also involved in developing the screenplay.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Sarita Ashwin Varde shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I felt a film like Bhagam Bhag deserved a sequel. After waiting for the right moment, we are finally ready to bring it back to the audience.”
Shemaroo Entertainment’s CEO, Hiren Gada, expressed his excitement, saying, “We are working with a fantastic team to ensure that Bhagam Part 2 will be even ‘madder, crazier, and more fun’ than the first part.”
Production for the film is expected to begin in mid-2025, and fans are eager to see if the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal will reprise their roles. However, there’s no confirmation yet about whether Priyadarshan, the director of the original film, will return for the sequel.
