PCB Schedule IND vs PAK Match for 1 March in Lahore: India vs Pakistan match is a high voltage match in cricket world. Team India has defeated Pakistan every time except once in the ICC tournament. The PCB has prepared the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 match to be held in Pakistan next year and also fixed the date of the India Pakistan match.
The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan
The Pakistan Cricket Board has drafted the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule and submitted it to the ICC. This time Pakistan has got the title of hosting the Champions Trophy. The PCB has fixed the Champions Trophy match against arch-rivals India on March 1, 2025 in Lahore in this schedule. However, BCCI has not yet given its consent to participate in it and send Team India to Pakistan.
According to PCB, the tournament will be held from February 19 to March 9. March 10 is a reserved day. That means one more day has been reserved for the final round. Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi was invited to Barbados for the T20 World Cup final. According to a PTI report, they have submitted a schedule of 15 matches to the ICC. All the matches of the Indian team in this schedule are said to be held in Lahore for security reasons.
A member of the ICC board told PTI that the PCB has submitted a draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy. Accordingly, 7 matches will be played in Lahore, 3 in Karachi and 5 in Rawalpindi. The Champions Trophy will begin in Karachi, while the two semi-final matches will be played in Karachi and Rawalpindi. The final match will be held in Lahore.
India-Pakistan in same group
All India’s matches, including the semi-finals, will be played in Lahore. Two groups have been made for the Champions Trophy. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A. Apart from these two teams, Bangladesh and New Zealand are also teams. Group B consists of Australia, South Africa, England and Afghanistan. Recently, ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley met PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad.
Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup in 2023, which was played under a hybrid model. India’s matches in this Asia Cup were played in Sri Lanka. This was done after the Indian government refused to allow the players to go to Pakistan. According to sources, all the board heads of the countries participating in the ICC Champions Trophy, except the BCCI, have promised to support their draft schedule. After this, all eyes are now on what decision BCCI will take after discussing with the Government of India.
