ICC Champions Trophy Update: A major update has come out regarding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Indian cricket team will not tour Pakistan. This may shock Pakistan Cricket and PCB. On one hand, Pakistan Cricket Board is busy preparing for the Champions Trophy and now it has come to light that the Indian cricket team will not go to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy matches. BCCI has suggested two venues to ICC for India’s matches. However, it is yet to be approved.
Champions Trophy 2025: India’s matches likely to be held at this venue
The BCCI has demanded that Team India’s matches be held in Sri Lanka or Dubai. Board of Control for Cricket in India sources told news agency ANI that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. They have asked the ICC to hold their matches in Sri Lanka or Dubai. The Champions Trophy 2025 schedule has not been finalized yet, but a tentative schedule was revealed. In which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent a list of proposed matches along with dates and venues to the ICC.
Pakistan has got the host title of Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB has prepared a draft schedule for this and submitted it to the ICC. After this, the Cricket Boards of all the participating countries are giving an opinion on this from the ICC. According to PCB, all India matches will be played in Lahore. Pakistan has chosen three venues for the entire tournament. In which besides Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi are named.
The PCB says that if the Indian team reaches the semi-finals and the final, their matches can be played in Lahore. However, the schedule of these matches has not been officially announced yet and now there are reports that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for these matches.
