On this special occasion, renowned director Sandeep Singh has unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming film, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which has already sparked excitement among fans.
First Look Poster Goes Viral
Sandeep Singh shared the poster on his social media platforms, showcasing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj standing before Goddess Bhavani, holding a sword with a determined expression. While unveiling the poster, he wrote:
“Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji, Har Har Mahadev! On the 395th birth anniversary of India’s pride and the great warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we proudly present the first look that embodies the power and devotion of the king who reshaped the destiny of the Asian continent.”
He further expressed that it is a great honor to bring Shivaji Maharaj’s extraordinary saga of bravery, honor, and self-rule to life, announcing that the film is set to release on January 21, 2027. Fans have shown their excitement, eagerly awaiting the film and praising the powerful poster.
Rishabh Shetty to Play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
The film stars Rishabh Shetty, known for his performance in Kantara, in the lead role. The actor had previously teased his look from the film on social media, writing:

Meanwhile, the recently released film Chhava, based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has taken the box office by storm. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, the film was released on February 14, 2025, and has received an overwhelming response from audiences.
Within just five days, Chhava has grossed over ₹170 crore, proving its immense popularity. Vicky Kaushal, along with director Laxman Utekar and the film’s producers, recently visited Raigad Fort to pay homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
