Dumri (Giridih):
Farmers’ loans of two lakh rupees and electricity bills have been waived. Additionally, they are providing 200 units of electricity free of charge. Under the ‘Maiya Samman Yojana,’ Women and Child Development Minister Baby Devi has honored women and young girls, with money transferred directly to their accounts, and this amount has been increased to 2,500 rupees. She stated that if a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government is formed, women will be given one lakh rupees annually. The government is also working on plans to support students who aspire to become doctors and engineers. Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared these details on Monday evening while addressing a gathering at KB High School ground in Dumri, following the nomination of INDIA alliance candidate Baby Devi, urging everyone to support her.
He added that several candidates are in the Dumri assembly race, some of whom, he said, are like “hyenas trying to tear apart” the constituency. “This is Jagannath Mahto’s area. We have protected his family by making Baby Devi a minister, and the people of the area need to stand up for her as well.”
Joining of JMM:
In the gathering, Niranjan Mahto and others left AJSU to join JMM, while BJP and AJSU members from Nawadih Chandrapura, led by Gauri Shankar Mahto, also joined JMM.
Will Not Allow Santhal Pargana to Become ‘Mini Bangladesh’: Sarma
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commented that Bangladeshi infiltrators are disrupting the tribal identity and social structure of Santhal Pargana. He warned that if the current situation persists, the region’s demographics will worsen with an increasing population of infiltrators. He said that if a BJP government comes into power, this situation will be changed.
Sarma stated that under any circumstances, Santhal Pargana will not be allowed to turn into ‘Mini Bangladesh,’ and if an NDA government is formed in the state, NRC will be implemented to remove Bangladeshi infiltrators from the region. He also mentioned that Irfan, who made derogatory remarks about Sita Soren, will be imprisoned after the elections. Sarma was in Jamtara for the nomination event of BJP candidate Sita Soren, where he also held a roadshow from Maa Chanchala Chowk to Veer Kunwar Singh Chowk.
