Bollywood actors are constantly in the news for one reason or another. Sometimes because of their roles in films, sometimes because of the posts they share on social media, sometimes because of the statements they make during interviews, these actors become part of the discussion. Now actress Zareen Khan has stated that being compared to Katrina Kaif ruined her career.
What did Zareen Khan say?
Zareen Khan appeared on the podcast of famous comedians Bharti and Harsh Limbachia. In this she has made a statement about her career. Talking about her career experience after the film ‘Veer’, she says, “After the film ‘Veer’ my life has completely changed. That movie was huge and even now it is a life changing movie for me. I have had bad experiences after that movie. I was being compared with Katrina Kaif. At first I felt good, because Katrina is very beautiful. But, I think this is spread the wrong way in the industry. Being compared to Katrina was a big thing for me, but it turned out bad. I don’t know many people in this industry. Many directors and producers I know only by their names. But many people thought that I was proud because Salman Khan had brought me into the film.”
Zareen Khan further says that I was criticized so much that there was a time when it became impossible for me to step out of the house. People started commenting on my clothes. It was also said that I am overweight. What was I going to do? I was given many names. So I felt more comfortable sitting at home. The comparison with Katrina was bad for me.
Zarine Khan made her Bollywood debut in the lead role in Salman Khan’s 2010 film Veer. After the movie ‘Veer’ she got big fame with the song ‘Character Dhila’. Along with this, her role in the movie ‘Housefull 2’ was highly appreciated. Apart from this, Zareen has shown glimpses of her acting in many films like ‘Hate Story 3’, ‘Aksar 2’, ‘1921’.
