Delhi Premier League 2024: Schedule, and Match Timings
The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League 2024 (DPL 2024), often referred to as India’s Mini IPL, is set to kick off on August 17. This T20 tournament is organized by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), with the final scheduled for Sunday, September 8. Notably, DDCA has appointed Virender Sehwag as the brand ambassador for the tournament.
Teams Participating in Delhi Premier League 2024
A total of six teams will compete in the tournament: Central Delhi Kings, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstars, Old Delhi 6, West Delhi Lions, and North Delhi Strikers. Each team will play against the other five teams twice in the league stage. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. The tournament will feature a total of 40 matches, including 33 matches for men and seven for women. All matches will be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Delhi Premier League 2024 Prize Money
The winning team of the Delhi Premier League will be awarded a prize of Rs 1 crore.
