So for the registration of this property, a stamp duty of Rs 9.33 lakh has been paid. According to the website Bollywood Bubble, this is the highest price fetched for a property in Bandra area so far.
The housing project will be built in place of Dilip Kumar’s house
In 2016, Dilip Kumar had entered into an agreement with Usher Group to demolish a bungalow at Pali Hill and build a luxury residential building at that place. The name of this reconstruction project is The Legend. 4 BHK and 5 BHK luxury houses will be constructed in this building. The same project will also have a museum on a 2 thousand square feet area, which will be dedicated to Dilip Kumar. In 2023, the developer had announced that 15 luxury homes would be built in ‘The Legend’ building. Now it is also said that the project will be completed in 2027. This will generate a revenue of around Rs. 900 crores.

A few years ago, Dilip Kumar’s family accused a real estate firm of fraudulently preparing legal documents for Dilip Kumar’s bungalow. The family had also claimed that it was done for the sake of possession. But in 2017, Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Bano said, “The bungalow is in our possession and we have the key too.” After that the dispute was settled. Dilip Kumar bought this bungalow from Abdul Latif in 1953. After marrying Saira Bano in 1966, Dilip Kumar went to live in this bungalow.
