Pimpri: It has been revealed that Pooja Khedkar, a trainee officer of the Indian Administrative Service, was given a disability certificate after being examined by a trainee doctor at the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCM) in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The municipal commissioner has rejected the report of the authorities of ‘YCM’ regarding the issuance of seven percent disability certificate following the rules of the central government, and has ordered a re-inquiry and a revised report.
Khedkar has been given seven percent disability certificate from ‘YCM’. The authority of ‘YCM’ has given the report to the Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh about the doctors of the Department of Osteopathy and Physiotherapy in this hospital complying with the rules of the Central Government and issuing the certificate. However, it has been rejected by the commissioner. Sources said that Singh has ordered to re-inquire and submit a revised report as it has been found that the trainee doctor has issued a disability certificate after examination.
Khedkar family’s company auction?
Thermoverita Private Limited Company in Talwade, which belongs to the Khedkar family, has been seized due to dues. The municipal corporation said that there is a period of 11 days to pay the arrears of two lakh 77 thousand rupees, and if the tax is not paid, the company will be auctioned.
Pooja Khedkar has been in trouble due to various controversial cases. Khedkar had given the address of the company in Talwad as proof of residence to obtain a disability certificate from ‘YCM’ Hospital of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Ration card was given as identity card for certification. This ration card also has the address of the same company. The company ThermoVerita Private Limited located at Jotibanagar in Talwade Village is named after Pooja’s mother Manorama. Regular business tax was paid by the company from 2009 to April 2022. After that the tax was not paid. The company has arrears of tax of two lakh 77 thousand. Therefore, the municipal corporation had given a pre-seizure notice in the month of March. Due to non-payment of tax even after the notice, warrant has been issued and the property has been seized on July 19. Tax has to be paid within 21 days after issuance of warrant. If the tax is not paid within this time, the property is auctioned or sold. There is only 11 days to pay the arrears of tax, and if the tax is not paid within this period, the company of the Khedkar family will be auctioned, the corporation said.
A pre-seizure notice was issued to ThermoVerita Private Limited Company in March 2024. The property has been seized by issuing seizure warrant. 21 days time is given to pay the tax. If the tax is not paid within this period, the property will be auctioned.
