Gautam Adani’s Message After JEE Aspirant’s Tragic Suicide
The results of the JEE Mains 2025, the competitive examination for engineering admissions, were announced on Tuesday. Following this, a tragic incident came to light from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where an 18-year-old girl, who had failed the exam, died by suicide. Before taking this extreme step, she left a heartfelt letter to her parents, apologizing to them. The incident has sparked widespread concern and discussions on mental health and academic pressure.
Among those who took note of this heartbreaking event was Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, who shared a special message for students on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
What Exactly Did Gautam Adani Say?
Industrialist Gautam Adani expressed his deep condolences over the student’s suicide and shared an important message for both students and their parents. He emphasized that academic performance is not the ultimate measure of success in life.
In his post, Adani wrote:
“It is heartbreaking to see a bright girl collapse under the weight of expectations. Life is bigger than any exam—this is something that parents need to realize and communicate to their children. I was very average in studies. I failed many times in academics and life, but each time, life showed me a new path. My only request to all of you is: never consider failure as the end. Because life always gives a second chance…”
Student’s Suicide Note
The Class 12 student from Gorakhpur, devastated by her low score in the JEE Main 2025, took her own life. A suicide note was found in her room, in which she apologized to her parents. The note read:
“Mom and Dad, please forgive me. I could not fulfill your wishes. Our journey together ends here. Don’t cry now. You both gave me immense love, but I could not fulfill your dreams.”
This incident has reignited concerns over the extreme pressure faced by students preparing for competitive exams. Many have called for more awareness and mental health support for students struggling with academic expectations.
