Bollywood actor Govinda recently made headlines after being injured by a bullet due to a misfire from his own licensed gun. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, leaving Govinda critically injured in the leg. He was immediately admitted to Criti Care Hospital in Mumbai, where his condition has since stabilized.
According to Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, the misfire happened while the actor was cleaning the gun, which accidentally discharged after falling from his hand. The Mumbai Police, led by Senior Police Inspector Daya Nayak, have begun an investigation into the incident and are expected to take a fresh statement from the actor as well as his daughter, Tina Ahuja, who has already been questioned. The gun, a licensed revolver by Webley, has been sent for a ballistic report.
Several Bollywood celebrities, including David Dhawan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Raveena Tandon, have visited Govinda at the hospital to offer their support.
