Ranchi: The city is rapidly preparing for the grand celebration of Shri Krishna Janmotsav, with everyone actively participating. Earlier, the festival was celebrated on a smaller scale, but now it has grown into a grand event. In the capital city, Shri Krishna Janmotsav is celebrated in a grand manner at both Albert Ekka Chowk and Morabadi Ground.
This year, preparations have already begun. At Albert Ekka Chowk, the festival will be celebrated over two days, on August 26 and 27.
Emotional Dance Performances:
On August 26, under the direction of Mati Gargi Melkani, the director of Dharitri Kala Kendra, child artists will perform an expressive dance, and artists from Kolkata will present an emotional Radha-Krishna dance performance.
Competition in Two Groups:
A tableau competition depicting the childhood form of Shri Krishna will also be organized. Mukesh Kabra stated that the competition will be held in two groups. The first group will include children aged six months to six years, and the second group will include children aged seven to twelve years. In addition to the first and second prizes, consolation prizes will be distributed among all the children. People will have the opportunity to witness the divine and magnificent tableaus of the Lord.
On August 27, at 4 PM, a Dahi Handi-breaking competition, along with a devotional evening and dance-drama performances, will be organized. Participants in the Govinda team and the child Krishna tableau competition are requested to collect the registration form from Main Road, Kedia Cycle, or Station Road Patanjali before August 25.
