IND vs AUS T20 World Cup Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya had to face the worst trolling after taking back the captaincy of Mumbai Indians in IPL. But after recovering from that, Pandya has proved himself to some extent in the T20 World Cup. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has contributed significantly to India’s successful matches. It is true that Hardik has struggled to find form but he has been outstanding in the World Cup. Hardik took eight wickets in five innings and played a crucial knock against Bangladesh on Saturday. His unbeaten 50 off just 27 balls helped India reach a solid total of 196/5. India eventually won by 50 runs and Hardik’s all-round performance earned him the man of the match award.
Pandya took a break after the 2021 T20 World Cup due to injury. Since returning to the game, Hardik has often opted not to bowl during his captaincy tenure with Gujarat Titans resulting in significant question marks over Hardik’s bowling. Now Hardik has proved himself by solving this question. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri recently spoke with Hardik about his consistently impressive bowling. Shastri reminded Hardik that there were occasions when concerns were raised about his bowling, to which Hardik gave a straightforward reply.
Hardik Pandya’s solid answer
In a video posted by the ICC, Hardik said, “One year I didn’t bowl, otherwise, I bowled for every team. However, the subject of ‘Hardik Pandya’s’ bowling has become very big. Going into the field with all the weapons I have, I have and still have to work hard. Basically I always get an extra opportunity to contribute to the team, because if I bat well, my bowling also has a good effect, and if I bowl well, I bat well, that gives me confidence.”
It is also true that Hardik has bowled consistently for Mumbai Indians in this year’s IPL , but he has not had much success in it. But Hardik can prove to be the ace of Team India in India’s match against Australia in T20 World Cup today (Monday).
Today is an important day for India!
Team India has so far dominated the group with wins over Ireland, United States and Pakistan. India’s match against Canada at Lauderhill was a washout, but Rohit Sharma’s side managed emphatic wins against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the Super Eight phase. Although a place in the semi-finals is still not certain, India’s consistent unbeaten performances have been appreciated by fans and pundits alike. Meanwhile, India are currently sitting comfortably at the top with a net run rate of over 2, but a win against Australia will be crucial to retain this position.
