Pune: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Western Ghats and light to moderate rains in the rest of the state for the next four days as the Arabian Sea branch of monsoon is active.
A low pressure belt has formed from south Gujarat coast to north Kerala coast since last few days. Steamy winds from the Arabian Sea are rapidly approaching the coast of the state. Therefore, there is heavy rainfall in the coastal and Western Ghats areas. Heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan and Ghat areas for the next four days.
