Ranchi: The State Council of Ministers approved 37 proposals on Wednesday. In the proposal from the Agriculture Department at the cabinet meeting held at Project Bhawan, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the loan waiver amount under the Prime Minister Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme has been increased from fifty thousand rupees to two lakhs.
Additionally, the cabinet has approved doubling the honorarium for traditional village heads of the state. Now, Manki and Parganait will receive an honorarium of six thousand rupees instead of three thousand, while Munda and Gram Pradhan will receive four thousand rupees instead of two thousand.
The cabinet has also reduced the rates of air ambulances operated by the state government by more than fifty percent. The cost for an air ambulance from Ranchi to Delhi is now three lakh ten thousand rupees, and four lakh rupees for Mumbai. The government has also approved the old pension scheme for university employees.

Chief Minister Called it a Milestone
Speaking to reporters after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren described Wednesday’s decisions as milestones for the state. He said that increasing the loan waiver amount for farmers will create a positive environment for agriculture. Similarly, he highlighted the significance of increasing the honorarium for traditional village heads.
The state will spend Rs 85.59 crore due to the increase in the honorarium for village heads. The state cabinet also approved the old pension scheme for university officials, teachers, and non-teaching staff of the university and affiliated colleges. The benefits apply to employees serving as regular employees from December 1, 2004, or thereafter.
The cabinet has now authorized the Cabinet Monitoring Department to handle matters related to central agencies. According to the Transport Department proposal, 619 employees of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation have been accommodated in Jharkhand State Road Transport Corporation.
